The session of VSU Academic Council was held on the 31st of October. The agenda was approved unanimously. Seda Bezhanyan, Academic Secretary, presented the suggestions of the members of Academic Council on the work plan for the academic year 2019-2020. The final version of the work plan was approved unanimously.

Aren Santoyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, delivered a report on the research papers that were written by the professors of VSU Chairs during the academic year 2018-2019. A. Santoyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, also touched upon the research that was conducted by the professors of the University in 2015-2019. The Chair of Chemistry took the first place with high efficiency ratio, which was 2.5.

The participants of the session decided to postpone the discussion of the issue related to the process of setting tuition fees for the academic year 2019-2021 until February. The list of the specialties for admission to Bachelor's Degree programmes for the academic year 2019-2021 was approved by the members of the Academic Council. Anoush Gevorgyan, Head of Educational-Methodological Department, advised the participants of the session to pay attention to the indices when coming up with new suggestions.

The fourth issue on the agenda referred to the discussion and approval of some orders. Kristine Ghazaryan, the lawyer of the University, was given an opportunity to submit comments on the orders.

Other current issues were also discussed. The partakers of the session decided to discuss the problems faced by PhD students and applicants during university life in January, 2020.

The educational-methodological manual of R. Sahakyan, Associate Professor of VSU Chair of Mathematics, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, and Zh. Sahakyan, Assistant Professor of the Chair of Mathematics, entitled “Lines” was guaranteed for publication for the students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
