Extension of the Deadline for Applications for Partial Reimbursement of Tuition Fees by the State (Student Benefits)

    Dear students, we would like to inform you that according to the order, approved by the Government of the Republic of Armenia (decision N 1183 July 27, 2006), concerning the ‘‘Provision of student benefits and state scholarships in higher education establishments’’: in an attempt to receive partial reimbursement of tuition fees by the state you must submit an application to the General Department of VSU by October 16.

    According to point 2.1 of the above mentioned order:

    ‘‘The state provides partial reimbursement of tuition fees to the students who have exceeded the minimum of the general point average (GPA) set by RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and are registered in the family-needy evaluation system with scores higher than the scores set annually by Government of RA. Applies to the following groups of students:

      a) 50% of the tuition fee coverage for students who are members of a family with insecurity score higher up to 5 points.

      b) 60% of the tuition fee coverage for students who are members of a family with insecurity score higher than 5-10 points.

      c) 70% of the tuition fee coverage for students who are members of a family with insecurity score higher than 10-15 points.

      d) 80% of the tuition fee coverage for students who are members of a family with insecurity score higher than 15-20 points.

      e) 100% of the tuition fee coverage for students who are a member of a family with insecurity score higher than 20 points.’’

    According to point 2.5 of the same order:

   The state provides partial reimbursement of tuition fees in form of student benefits in the communities receiving social assistance (decision N 1444-Ն, Annex 1, December 18, 2014), as well as to students registered and residing permanently for the last five years in Berd community of Tavush region, who have graduated from the general educational establishment of that community and study in state or accredited non-state universities of Armenia (full-time, part-time) in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs (including continuous and integrated educational programs). Applies to the following groups of students:

      1) 60% of the tuition fee coverage for students who have excellent results in the examinations and tests of one academic year.

      2) 30% of the tuition fee coverage regardless of the study results

    Please note that a change has been made in the decision N 50- Ն of January 24, 2019 of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. In 2020, the score for receiving family allowance and social benefit is set as 28.00 (instead of 30.00 in 2019).
